NYTSI Online returns for a third time. July 11-22, 2022.

The New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive is a training program for young actors ages 15-19. The intensive delves deeply into Shakespeare’s works, characters, and language through a progressive curriculum of physical movement training and character development techniques. NYTSI was created by Yonder Window Theatre Company to prepare young actors with the tools and fundamentals required to apply for a degree in the performing arts and working in the professional arena.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN SHAKESPEARE'S LANGUAGE THROUGH PHYSICAL TRAINING WHILE STUDYING WITH MASTER TEACHERS FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME

New York Teen Shakespeare’s Online Program offers College Audition Prep, Physical Technique for the Actor, Linklater Voice Technique, Clown, and as always, Shakespeare’s Text. This summer intensive will be the third one we host virtually, after 15+ years of experience teaching the program in person.

SHAKESPEARE’S TEXT: Participants will discover their personal connection to the text and then build upon that with the use of Shakespeare's rhetoric and poetry as an actor's tool to unlock new meaning within the text.

COLLEGE AUDITION PREP: Equipping the Actor with Shakespeare monologues required by all dramatic training programs. Preparing them with the confidence and ability to record proper and effective self-tape auditions from home.

VOICE & MOVEMENT FOR THE ACTOR: a cross pedagogy to enhance the actors' instrument physically, vocally and experientially in relationship to character and heightened text.
