NYTSI ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

The NYTSI Academic Scholarship is the highest academic scholarship award offered. This year our generous sponsors are awarding two full-tuition scholarships to two academic and talent deserving students.

Application Deadline: May 1, 2019.

Notification of Award: June 1, 2019

Application to the New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive Academic Scholarship is by audition and interview. Applicants must be between the ages 15-19. Applicants must submit the following:

  1. A completed Online Registration Application Form

  2. Headshot (Photo) and Resume. If you do not have a professional headshot, it is okay, any clear photo is acceptable.

  3. One Letter of Recommendation, including the referee’s address and telephone number. The letter should be from teacher or persons who can supply a recommendation as to the applicant’s character and potential. Referees may be contacted directly.

  4. A one-page Statement of Purpose summarizing your reasons for applying for this type of training.

  5. Video Audition: The audition should consist of a memorized performance of two monologues: one Shakespeare and one Contemporary, no longer than 90 seconds each. Video auditions are to be submitted via direct link to your private video audition (i.e. YouTube).

  6. A $25 non-refundable application fee (payable at).

Applicants will be formally notified regarding their acceptance in the program by June 1, 2019.
